Better monitoring of sequestered soil carbon in different soils and climate conditions is necessary for improving carbon farming practices and understanding their impacts. The Field Observatory Network (FiON) has established a methodology towards monitoring and forecasting agricultural carbon sequestration by combining offline and near-real-time field measurements, meteorological data, satellite imagery and modelling. In order to share the work and results, an online platform open to everyone called Field Observatory has been built.
