Public Affairs Specialist – Join us in promoting regenerative agriculture and saving the Baltic Sea
The Baltic Sea Action Group is a non-profit foundation that protects the Baltic Sea. Our mission is to restore the Baltic Sea’s ecological balance and combat biodiversity loss. We work closely with researchers, businesses, policymakers, authorities, organizations, and farmers. We seek a Public Affairs Specialist to strengthen our team and promote regenerative agriculture.
In this role, you will:
- Actively work in public affairs, promoting the conditions for innovative cultivation and advancing farmer-led ecological reform in policy and regulation.
- Develop and maintain broad networks among policymakers and stakeholders at the EU and national levels.
- Participate in discussions on ecological transition, especially within the food system.
- Work extensively to reduce nutrient and pollution loads across the Baltic Sea region.
- Travel as needed to advance BSAG’s goals and create new partnerships.
We expect from you:
• Knowledge of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy.
• Experience in lobbying the European Parliament, European Commission, and Council.
• Strong networking skills and the capability to build relationships with various stakeholders are essential for this position. The ability and willingness to work closely with farmer representatives are also essential.
• Willingness to travel within the EU.
• Excellent English language skills and additional languages are an advantage.

• A salary between €3,300 to €4,000 per month.
