Helsinki Energy has a lot of experience in using gas as a fuel, and biogas will be one interesting alternative in future plans to reduce city’s greenhouse gas emissions, when the produced biogas can be converted to synthese gas and the gas can be conducted through the gas pipeline to Helsinki to replace fossil fuels. Helen can support the starting project by serving technical assistance in concept planning of the project.

Objective of the Commitment:
To minimize the diffuse nutrient loading to the Eastern Gulf of Finland from agriculture and animal farming.
