eOil = Oil spill processing surveillance and management system.
eOil is a waste processing surveillance and management system based on RFID technology, which will aid in following the contained waste’s trail from where the accident happened to the collection points, storage facilities and final processing facilities, and to see in which state it is in at all points. This information is essential for authorities, insurance companies and waste handling organisations. The use of the system will save approximately 45 million euros in collection costs if the accident is about 30000 tonnes of oil and also speed up the collection procedures.

The permanent impact is that there is a ready made solution for handling of oil accident and its collection activities. The solution which saves money and speeds up the processing.
