Developing and delivering technologies to reduce harmful environmental impacts derived from mining industry

Description:

Outotec will develop and deliver technologies to enable minerals processing and metallurgical industries to avoid and manage metal-containing dusts, sulfur dioxide emissions and effluents.

To support the work, Outotec has joined the TEKES Green Mining program to develop arsenic management systems in mining.

The promotion of best available water technologies to Russian industries in the field in the Northern region will be carried out within an international Water Excellency Center which Outotec is planning to establish together with Lahti Science and Business Park Ltd. The Water Excellency Center will get financing from the European Regional Development Fund.

Objective:

To reduce the amount of environmentally Hazardous substances and litter emissions to the Baltic Sea.
