Principles of constructive dialogue
The CAP Dialogue Initiative aims to foster constructive dialogue and generate new insights. The aim is not to reach a consensus, but to understand others. That is why the partners of the Initiative and participants of our events are committed to constructive debate.
Our shared principles
- We conduct the debate in a solution-oriented way, taking into account different interests.
- We actively seek to avoid confrontation, bickering, stigmatisation and self-serving obstructionism.
- We respect the views of all parties and take an interest in their proposals.
- We provide different solutions and workable examples of the multi-benefit (profit, climate, biodiversity and security) potential of agriculture and the food system.
- We will keep the focus on the European framework and, as a general rule, on the next CAP programme.
- We respect the equal rights of all parties and interlocutors.
