Advancing regenerative agriculture on the all-important grassroots level
Baltic Sea Action Group has actively promoted sustainable agriculture in collaboration with farmers since 2009. The funding comes from Louise and Göran Ehrnrooth Foundation and the Sophie von Julinin’s Foundation. With the funding, BSAG can continue to make it easier for farmers to implement environmental measures in their daily work.
The project implements BSAG’s holistic approach to sustainable and regenerative agriculture. The fundament of the coming work was created in collaboration, co-design, and training with a hundred carbon farmers. Today the network also includes other farmers interested in regenerative agriculture.
The project produces new communication materials on sustainable soil management and organizes training and field days. Collaboration with advisors, researchers, agricultural institutions, and decision-makers continues. Novel innovations and models from international carbon farming networks will also be brought to Finnish stakeholders.
