COLLABORATION WITH FARMERS
Open dialogue and respect for different perspectives lie at the heart of our work. Understanding farmers’ everyday lives help us find realistic ways of achieving significant environmental benefits while producing food. You’re welcome to join us in taking a regenerative approach to growing food. See below for some good ways to get involved.
Carbon Action research and development
A hundred farms are involved in our Carbon Action research. These carbon farms are studying carbon sequestration in connection with food production.
Farmers implement carbon farming measures in their fields and monitor the impacts with soil samples and sensory observations. A few dozen farms carry out constant monitoring. You can study the data collected from farms via the Field observatory.
The research carried out in the Carbon Action project, and practical experiences of different cultivation methods provide valuable information to support our collaboration with farmers. In addition to on-farm research, the Carbon Action platform is also running numerous R&D projects related to regenerative and carbon farming.

Carbon Action Club
The Carbon Action Club is a network aimed at farmers and anyone interested in regenerative farming in Finland.
We work with other actors to organise various events, from webinars to field days across Finland. Club members get the chance to sign up before anyone else. Members communicate with eachother in the club’s Facebook group.
The E-college for Regenerative Farming
The E-college for Regenerative Farming offers the best collection of known and new cultivation methods.
This online course revolves around managing soil health. It is broadly explored in chapters covering 11 different topics. The chapters can also be textbook-style, one section at a time.
This online course can help you find the most suitable ways to build a more secure future for your harvests in changing climatic conditions.

Guides and materials for farmers
Observing and experimenting with new cultivation methods in a small area of your field is an easy way to get acquainted with regenerative farming – test how it looks, feels, and smells.

Events
We hold events for farmers, such as webinars and field days, that demonstrate regenerative farming methods in practice. Our events provide peer support from other farmers and research data you can apply to your own farm.
